AUSTIN-- Jordan Walker, a top-producing real estate professional, has joined the Austin office of Weitzman as a Senior Vice President in charge of directing Weitzman’s newly formed Industrial Division. Weitzman, one of the largest commercial real estate services firms based in Texas, is full service with a focus on retail properties. The new Industrial Division will utilize Weitzman’s statewide and nationwide network of clients and Walker’s track record as one of the most successful industrial brokers in Central and South Texas.
Jeff Nebrat, partner in charge of Weitzman’s Austin office, noted that the Industrial Division is a natural evolution of the firm’s work in Texas. “We have clients on both the user and investor side looking for industrial real estate solutions, and we’re enhancing our services platform to meet these needs with the client service and market knowledge we’re known for.”
At Weitzman, Walker now handles industrial project representation, industrial tenant representation, land sales for industrial projects and related brokerage in Central Texas and other markets in the state. Walker has consistently ranked as an Industrial Heavy Hitter in both Austin and San Antonio; Heavy Hitters is the annual ranking of the top brokers based on production.
Prior to joining Weitzman, Walker worked as a vice president with CBRE in Austin, where he worked with an industrial and creative office portfolio and handled more than 1 million square feet of tenant representation business. He also worked in industrial brokerage with HPI Real Estate Services & Investments, Inc., in Austin and San Antonio, where he was part of a team responsible for leasing more than 15 million square feet of industrial space. Walker headed HPI’s San Antonio office, significantly growing the San Antonio portfolio, all while maintaining his position as an industrial specialist along the IH-35 corridor from Austin to San Antonio. He started his real estate career with NAI Partners In Houston.
Notable transactions handled by Walker include leases and sale transactions, including a 122,000-square-foot industrial lease to U.S. AutoForce at 8500 E. Parmer Lane in Manor; a 166,000-square-foot lease and sale to Comet Signs at 5003 Stout Drive; a 214,000-square-foot lease and sale to Ace Mart Supply at 9850 Doer Lane; a 112,000-square-foot lease to Marquee Rentals at 4616 Howard Lane; and a 155,000-square-foot lease to PrimeSource at 4703 Greatland Drive.
Walker’s landlord and tenant representation client list has included numerous leading firms, including Prudential Insurance Company, Scher Investment Company, TA Realty Corporation, State Farm Insurance Company, Austin Sports Center, All American Glass Distributors, Mcquilling Partners Inc., Cobalt Capital Partners, Airwave Telecommunications Enterprise, Trammell Crow Company, The State of Texas, FSG, 3FM, Ledcor and the Hardeman Family Trust.
Walker is a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) and Commercial Brokers Association of Austin (CBA). He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
